Whiskey and Microbrewery Tour

Pot StillsWhiskey distilling has been a part of Irish culture and heritage for centuries. In recent years Irish Whiskey has seen a huge growth in popularity worldwide, with a particular interest in artisan whiskey; this has been reflected here with an extraordinary number of distilleries and craft breweries opening in the past 18 months. For ad-hoc groups, this tour would be available at the time of your choosing.

Our Whiskey Tasting and Micro-Brewery Tour is designed to showcase some of Ireland's newest distilleries and breweries. For example, the Teeling family and the Liberties area of Dublin both have a rich tradition in distilling, and when opened in early 2015, Teeling's will be the first new distillery in

Dublin in over 125 years. Steeped in history, Slane Castle has been the Conyngham family home since 1701, and is well known in the 21st Century as a venue for rock concerts. Its Distillery produces three types of whiskey on site, a Pure Irish Potstill, a Distilled Single Malt and a Grain Whiskey. The Brú Brewery produces craft beers that are 100% naturally brewed and chemical free.

At many of these distilleries we offer the visitor a unique opportunity to experience the distilling process first hand, and of course sample some of the whiskey and beer produced on site!

Our tour will highlight not only the distilling history of Ireland, but also its incredible scenery and the rich musical heritage. You will travel through the mystical Burren, enjoy a drink in a typical village pub, and experience the thrill of live Irish music and dancing with a special farewell 'Irish Night'.
